The latest news is always available at the station. The new newspaper cabinets have been given a uniform appearance in order to fit in with the rest of the new Station amenties. This 'new furniture' are now identical for each newspaper publisher, creating peace and coherence in the overall design.
There are two variants designed: an interior and an exterior variant. In both variants, the word 'news' is readable in the design. The interior variant has a pattern of holes punched through steel, so that the furniture has transparency. On the exterior variant is the same pattern has been silkscreened.
The design is modular in accordance with the design principles of the Vision of Station amenities. A horizontal band with the colored logo makes the newspaper brand recognizable. The logo module can be exchanged. A vertical strip on the front prevents people sit in the cabinets.
The paper trays can be connected to create a larger group of Newspaper cabinets. Therefore, the furniture is clearly visible and it contributes to an uncluttered view.
The good ergonomics enable travelers to grab a newspaper while passing by. So travelers do not need to miss their train and their newspaper.
